Avocado & Olive Lip Balm Review

This avocado & Olive Lip Balm is in my opinion very nice, I bought it when my lips in the winter started to break, before I had tried many lip balms but some helped but just for a short time and my lips would break again. One day a friend from work new my condition and she had seen this Avocado & Olive Lip Balm and she had tagged me on Facebook, I was so desperate that I just bought it and well… I bought it because it was in this little cutie box and is avocado based! So it came in a couple of days and I’m telling that it is very good, left my lips very smooth and I normally put once a day as I like my lips hydrated. They leave you with nice and taste on your lips that sometimes I just keep licking my lips and not that cosmetic and weird taste but just for a couple minutes and then it just disappears. It’s not slimy but it has very thick and leaves with your lips a bit white gloss until all absorption is complete which is odd when you are not used to.

Last for an hour which is a little of a bummer but it does hydrate your lips and not just the skin of your lips.

I would recommend using the Avocado & Sugar Lip Scrub first to remove the dryness and then the Avocado & Olive Lip Balm in the mornings or before bed.

My Final Thoughts About This Product

My final thoughts is that I would definitely buy this product again.

It comes on very small avocado shape container which is very cute and very visually attractive. It definitely hydrates your lips but not for long periods of time.

The gloss on your lips but it’s not the best lip balm out there but it does the job.

The smell is odd in a good way as it smells of earth greens and like a vanilla scent.

The price is alright for a skinfood product.

At the end of the day I would buy this balm with the help of the Avocado & Sugar Lip Scrub.

How Much Water Does The Avocado Have?

The avocados when growing up they need water, but they depend on where they grow in the world.

The avocados are one of the fruits that needs loads of water when growing. In Chile a single avocado might need about 320 litres of water but in Europe a whole Kilogram might need about 1,000 litres of water.

Farmers are worried with the waste of water in producing avocados, but the true is avocados are very good for your body it contains a nutritional value that you can’t find in another vegetable or fruit.

Look at this perspective if you are on a diet and one of the recommended things to do is have high content in fibers and the water footprint in your food to be low.

As you can see 1 avocado as about 54 gallons of water, now when you compare against less than half a chicken it is still not the double but the triple more than a single avocado.

The same goes with 1/3 lb of pork and 1/4 cup of almonds which is not much! Now comparing a single avocado against a 1/3 lb of beef that has 609 gallons of water you can see and have an opinion on what is actually good for you!

Not saying to stop eating beef of course but imagine that you eat a beef burger which is the plainest burger that you can have, you have:

Best Way To Preserve Avocado


Which is the best way to preserve our avocados? That’s what we all ask to keep our avocados without turning brown and mushy in just a couple days!

The problem is that as we all know avocados are expensive!

Avocados are like bananas if you leave it for too long without being properly preserved they will turn brown, mushy and slimy and that’s a no, no!

Everyone as different techniques from putting garlic in storage containers to put lemon in your avocado to keep the color but in my humble opinion it just doesn’t work and you end up with a smelly and a weird taste avocado.

As I normally only use a half of an avocado a day I always want to keep my other half good and fresh so I put my half avocado in a small container or an avocado hugger and put it in the fridge!

How long do I keep it?

If the avocado is fresh picked they will ripe in about 3 to 6 days on ambient temperature but if you want to retard the ripe just put on a container and put it in the fridge and should be fine for a couple more days.

If its not fresh and the ripe is already in place it should only last up to 2 to 4 days.

A good way to keep your avocado from getting brown try use some avocado oil on his flesh, and put it in a container and leave it in the fridge and will hold for a couple days more and keep the brown at bay.

Avocado For Weight Loss

Everyone knows that losing weight is not something easy to accomplish, you need the right requirements. Such as motivation and willing to make sacrifices.

My biggest difficulties while trying to lose weight are those two so you really need to put in your head I AM doing this because I want it and nothing else.

If we don’t do sacrifices doesn’t matter if you do exercise once a week because your amount of calories is still a superior number of the ones you lose on that single day that you do exercise!

Ingredients:

  • A Cup of milk Or you can replace it with Coconut Water which always gives a nice flavor into it;

  • A small bowl of Blueberries;
  • A big bowl Of Spinach;

Avocado Donuts

So today I went shopping with my partner and we were just walking around the city and when we decided to stop for a cup of coffee on this little food caravan with handmade stuff, but the big reason we go to these places is because my partner is gluten intolerant so we like this little places because we know that they always have something delicious that she can eat!

The lady that already know us told us that she had something new and it was, can you guess??? Yeah that’s right an avocado donuts and let me tell you they were delicious!

This avocado donuts was made with dark chocolate and avocado topped with avocado and lemon cream, it was to die for!

Who doesn’t like donuts? Well everyone loves donuts but you always think about that extra pound on the balance, but well that days are over!!! From now on my guilty pleasure will be the avocado donuts, oh my god, I can’t get out of the fact that they are healthy and delicious at the same time!

We had talked in previous conversations that I loved avocado and she had told me that she would do something to sell as she didn’t have any avocado based product and she told me today that the avocado donuts were a success!

I didn’t even know that avocado donuts were trendy until this lady told me, came back home did my research on internet and yeah It Is very trendy in America but in England not yet, I never had heard about this but I am so happy that I found this!

I used to have some problems when preparing my avocados as I was using the wrong tools.

My difficulties was always cut my avocado without wasting too much of the fruit, the seed was sometimes in the way, I sometimes like to slice and mash to do different stuff and when I looked around I had already made a mess and used most of the kitchen tools, so one day I decided to buy some kind of tool that could do most of those things! Makes sense doesn’t’t it? Well I found it, the tool I bought it was the “Kitchen Gizmo all-in-one Avocado Tool”.

This is a cool, creamy and delicious, these prawn-filled avocado starters are so simple to do! It’s a perfect starter for a party.

Ingredients

  • 20 small prawns, peeled and roughly chopped
  • squeeze of lemon
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 ripe avocados
  1. In a bowl combine prawns with lemon juice and mayonnaise, then stir; sprinkle with black pepper to taste and mix.
  2. Cut avocados in half and remove the stones.
  3. Fill each avocado half with some prawn mixture to form piles of filling.
  4. Let it cool down in the fridge for 35 minutes.

Well i have the answer that you will DIE for! Avocado Brownie is definitely one of my favorite cakes at the moment, the intense flavors of chocolate and the smooth avocado is just an amazing combination!

This recipe is so easy and healthy to do, you will need a blender.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 a cup of honey
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 a cup of coconut flour
  • 1/2 a cup of dark chocolate powder
  • A bit of salt
  • A spoon of rising powder
  • 1 spoon of cinnamon

 

 

How to Prepare:

  • Put in the blender the avocado, the banana, the eggs and the honey;
  • Mix it all until it turns in an even cream;
  • Transfer the batter to a bowl and add the dark chocolate and the salt and with a spoon mix it well;
  • Then line your cake tin with butter and flour and then transfer all your mixture into the cake tin;
  • Pre heat your oven to 180º C, when your oven is already preheated then place your cake mixture into the oven for 25minutes if you want you cake more consistent leave for 35 minutes;
  • When you take the cake out of the oven, let it cool down on a cooling rack until cold .

 

 

Easy Guacamole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 avocados – peeled, stones removed and chopped
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 ripe tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • A handful of chopped fresh coriander
  • A tablespoon of soured cream
  • A drizzle of avocado oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

 

How to Prepare

  1. Mash avocados in a medium serving bowl;
  2. Stir in onion, garlic, coriander, the soured cream, tomato, lime juice and the avocado oil;
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

There is the question that many ask, but let me tell you!

The refined oil based on his high heat tolerance is best for cooking only due to his smoking point. On other end the heat and chemicals to get the oils out and all its subtle flavors, colors and nutritional value, reduces or changes some of these properties in the oil which is what we don’t want when using for other things other than cooking.

Then you have the unrefined oil, and the unrefined oil you have two techniques the expelled or the cold pressed.

The expelled is when you press the avocado and all his oils came out and no chemicals or heat are applied. And these his the healthiest way you can have the avocado oil.

The cold pressed is when the avocado are heated but not above 50C(120F). And then pressed but all his flavor and nutritional value are not lost in the process.

The differences between the avocado and its oil its almost none!!!

To me they have different uses. The avocado fruit is just great when added to your diet, but I will advise you to don’t use both at the same time because the avocado oil is a concentration of the avocado fruit and might be more caloric and fatty because of his lower vitamins and minerals content, but is great when using as a substitute of other ingredients such as butter or other oils or as a dressing for your salads, marinating your food or even infusing herbs.

The avocado oil has helped me in so many ways, let me say that my health when I was a teen it wasn’t great! How to cultivate

Problems

  • When grown as indoor or houseplants, after the second or third year plants will often begin to show signs of leaf discoloration and deterioration;
  • Repotting in spring when the container is filled with roots may give a stimulus to growth, but plants appear to dislike long-term cultivation in the drier atmosphere of a house and are really best regarded as only short-term foliage plants to be replaced from time to time;
  • .Glasshouse white fly, thrips and glasshouse red spider mite and mealybug may be problematic;
