Avocado & Olive Lip Balm Review

This avocado & Olive Lip Balm is in my opinion very nice, I bought it when my lips in the winter started to break, before I had tried many lip balms but some helped but just for a short time and my lips would break again. One day a friend from work new my condition and she had seen this Avocado & Olive Lip Balm and she had tagged me on Facebook, I was so desperate that I just bought it and well… I bought it because it was in this little cutie box and is avocado based! So it came in a couple of days and I’m telling that it is very good, left my lips very smooth and I normally put once a day as I like my lips hydrated. They leave you with nice and taste on your lips that sometimes I just keep licking my lips and not that cosmetic and weird taste but just for a couple minutes and then it just disappears. It’s not slimy but it has very thick and leaves with your lips a bit white gloss until all absorption is complete which is odd when you are not used to.

Last for an hour which is a little of a bummer but it does hydrate your lips and not just the skin of your lips.

I would recommend using the Avocado & Sugar Lip Scrub first to remove the dryness and then the Avocado & Olive Lip Balm in the mornings or before bed.

Official product name: Skinfood Avocado & Olive Lip Balm

Does a very good job hydrating your lips.

Cons: Not recommended to people with very dry lips.

Doesn’t last very long on your lips.

This product I rate it as a: 3/5.

The Cheapest place to buy: Amazon.

Would I buy again? Yes.

My Final Thoughts About This Product

My final thoughts is that I would definitely buy this product again.

It comes on very small avocado shape container which is very cute and very visually attractive. It definitely hydrates your lips but not for long periods of time.

The gloss on your lips but it’s not the best lip balm out there but it does the job.

The smell is odd in a good way as it smells of earth greens and like a vanilla scent.

The price is alright for a skinfood product.

At the end of the day I would buy this balm with the help of the Avocado & Sugar Lip Scrub.

How Much Water Does The Avocado Have?

The avocados when growing up they need water, but they depend on where they grow in the world.

The avocados are one of the fruits that needs loads of water when growing. In Chile a single avocado might need about 320 litres of water but in Europe a whole Kilogram might need about 1,000 litres of water.

Farmers are worried with the waste of water in producing avocados, but the true is avocados are very good for your body it contains a nutritional value that you can’t find in another vegetable or fruit.

Look at this perspective if you are on a diet and one of the recommended things to do is have high content in fibers and the water footprint in your food to be low.

As you can see 1 avocado as about 54 gallons of water, now when you compare against less than half a chicken it is still not the double but the triple more than a single avocado.

The same goes with 1/3 lb of pork and 1/4 cup of almonds which is not much! Now comparing a single avocado against a 1/3 lb of beef that has 609 gallons of water you can see and have an opinion on what is actually good for you!

Not saying to stop eating beef of course but imagine that you eat a beef burger which is the plainest burger that you can have, you have:

  • Lettuce(15 gallons)
  • Tomato(22 gallons)
  • Wheat Bread(154 gallons)
  • 1/3 lb of beef(609 gallons)

All together you have consumed 800 gallons!

If you having difficulty losing weight try to downsize the water footprint that you are consuming and you will probably see better results on your fight against weight!

Best Way To Preserve Avocado

Which is the best way to preserve our avocados? That’s what we all ask to keep our avocados without turning brown and mushy in just a couple days!

The problem is that as we all know avocados are expensive!

Avocados are like bananas if you leave it for too long without being properly preserved they will turn brown, mushy and slimy and that’s a no, no!

Everyone as different techniques from putting garlic in storage containers to put lemon in your avocado to keep the color but in my humble opinion it just doesn’t work and you end up with a smelly and a weird taste avocado.

As I normally only use a half of an avocado a day I always want to keep my other half good and fresh so I put my half avocado in a small container or an avocado hugger and put it in the fridge!

How long do I keep it?

If the avocado is fresh picked they will ripe in about 3 to 6 days on ambient temperature but if you want to retard the ripe just put on a container and put it in the fridge and should be fine for a couple more days.

If its not fresh and the ripe is already in place it should only last up to 2 to 4 days.

A good way to keep your avocado from getting brown try use some avocado oil on his flesh, and put it in a container and leave it in the fridge and will hold for a couple days more and keep the brown at bay.

Avocado For Weight Loss

Everyone knows that losing weight is not something easy to accomplish, you need the right requirements. Such as motivation and willing to make sacrifices.

My biggest difficulties while trying to lose weight are those two so you really need to put in your head I AM doing this because I want it and nothing else.

If we don’t do sacrifices doesn’t matter if you do exercise once a week because your amount of calories is still a superior number of the ones you lose on that single day that you do exercise!

The way you only going to lose weight is with the proper combination of regular exercise and a good a nutritional diet.

Weigh loss is not something you can do overnight, you have to give it time and work every day and you will feel better in no time.

You want a tip? Here it is, go to your kitchen and get rid of every snack you have! Don’t forget of your hidden places, everyone have one at least!

Now I know your fridge every juice, fizzy drinks, energy drinks just get rid of them as well, I know it’s difficult I’ve been there!

I’m not saying that you should stop eating at all! No nothing like that, if you like food as I do believe me I didn’t know what was proper food! Try to cook yourself a nice meal and enjoy it instead of doing a ready meal which in the end leaves you hungry and it was crap with no taste, It is quick but not worth it!

When I started my diet I wanted to do it properly that time and I done some research, and talked with some friends that were on a diet and one of them said If you like avocado so much why don’t you use it on your diet? At that time I was using the avocado for my skin and just eating when I wanted without a proper diet.

Did some more research and asked what everyone is asking, how could the avocado help me lose weight?.

Well none of the answers were lying around on Google, so my friend who is a nutritionist give me some advice after I asked her about the avocado.

She told me I should only eat about 2 to 3 slices a day.

They are great in the mornings by themselves or you can cut them in small pieces and join it to your cereals preferably Corn Flakes or integral cereals, on your toast they are a million recipes you can do, on your yogurt if you like Greek yogurt it’s perfect or even in pancakes they are delicious.

As I told you before you can use avocado oil as substitute for butter or other oils you have been using until Now.

When you compare the avocado with another fruits you will see that what makes them different is that the avocado has a low sugar content while other fruits are very high in sugar like apples, bananas, melon in between others.

One thing that you will see with time is that the avocado makes you full for longer and you know that feeling that you normally have to always have to nibble something will be gone.

And don’t forget to do regular exercise, they are so many things you can do these days! Normally every town has zumba classes they are fun, and its good to meet new people and get excited to go to the next class I know you don’t want to do any exercise in front of any other human (That was me!) but believe me you can be surprised how many people like you are around, but even if don’t want to go while not confident on yourself try programs at home like this one, click link https://55064roiy363z6weme5jxjqe-w.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=AVOCADOLIFE.

Avocado can also give you an energy boost before you exercise for is monounsaturated fat which will keep your metabolism active even after you stop exercising, and its way better than any pre-work supplements.

Eating the proper kind of foods can help you get to your goals faster.

Avocado Smoothies – For Weight Loss

So everyone has heard about smoothie and how good they are and healthy, they are the perfect thing if you are a juice

drinker, its easy to substitute your coke for a nice and rich smoothie, believe me! I was really skeptical about this as I was lazy to do anything to be honest.

So I heard about detox programs and all that and the first thing I’ve done was gonna the shop and buy vegetables and fruit and let me tell you it wasn’t that expensive than I thought, I came home and started to take some of my favorite ingredients and I thought how they would taste nice when mixed.

One thing is the first month will be difficult but get used to the routine, get up a little bit early do your smoothie instead of drinking coffee or tea and you will see that with time you actually enjoy doing it and feeling much better with yourself and have that energy that was always lost in the morning and throughout the day and losing weight at the same time.

The avocado smoothie is great because of his low sugar content and super high in fibers and folate.

And its flavor is really nice and always go well with other ingredients.

But if you really don’t have the time in the morning and would like to drink it anyway, don’t lose faith there are another options. You can buy sets of eight detox avocado based juices in here, start now before its too late!

Avocado Oil – The Avocado Oil Uses & Different Types

Hi everyone, today I’m gonna talk to you about the avocado oil. In the last decade the avocado has been in great search as been very popular within the vegetarian, vegans and people trying to lose weight, but you can do so much with them!

To be honest and fair with you the avocado is a SUPERFOOD!

The Avocado Oil Uses

The avocado oil has so many uses, its amazing the choices you have to use it however you want!

The avocado oil is amazing to cook is a great addiction to your kitchen, if haven’t tried yet it is TIME NOW!!!!

Unlike the “greasy” oils like vegetable oil or soybean varieties, avocado oil has an AMAZING texture, taste and aroma, I’m telling you, you won’t regret it.

They are a great substitute for olive and coconut oil.

One thing that people are using avocado oil is as a butter substitute, you can use it in baking, toasts, frying eggs, to be honest anything you want and is so much healthy and definitely you gonna find the aromas so captivating and you will LOVE IT!

Another great idea is dressing salads, do your own avocado mayo, make your guacamole or in spiced aioli.

As you might have heard the avocado are great for your skin like many other oils or fruits!

They are best known as:

  • Anti-Aging as the healthy fat helps reduce inflammation, lowering redness and also fighting that ugly wrinkles that we all know!
  • Moisturizes and nourishes, the avocado contains vitamin E, potassium and other nutrients that will help your skin being healthy. The avocado is very easy to be absorbed by your skin and this will help to form new and beautiful and glowing skin.
  • Prevents and treats acne, the avocado oil can keep your skin hydrated without leaving an oily residue after washing it. The avocado oil has anti-inflammatory effects and was key for my fight against acne, this one will help you reduce redness and inflammation.
  • Psoriasis and eczema, they are known as dry, irritated and skin breaking out. The avocado oil may help your skin heal because of all his vitamins and antioxidants.

But you should always make a little test on your skin to see if your skin agrees with it, give it a day or so as you don’t want to make it worse!

  • Sun burned skin, from all vitamins, proteins and other fat acids in the avocado oil can help heal and soothe the burned skin. Eating avocados on your regular diet can help your skin protect itself from the sun (UV radiation).

Benefits of Using Avocado Oil on Hair

You can use avocado oil for your hair.

The oil is full of nutrients as you already know from previews posts, eating healthy is the best way to keep your hair strong and shiny.

Treating your hair with avocado can moisturize, repair, and make your hair strong.

Avocado oil in your scalp can help stimulate blood flow and heal cuticle cells, which can prevent hair loss.

There is so many products and creams avocado based that you can buy to use on your hair but as I had problems with hair loss always used avocado oil and had major results.

Which Is The Best Avocado Oil? Refined Or Unrefined?

There is the question that many ask, but let me tell you!

The refined oil based on his high heat tolerance is best for cooking only due to his smoking point. On other end the heat and chemicals to get the oils out and all its subtle flavors, colors and nutritional value, reduces or changes some of these properties in the oil which is what we don’t want when using for other things other than cooking.

Then you have the unrefined oil, and the unrefined oil you have two techniques the expelled or the cold pressed.

The expelled is when you press the avocado and all his oils came out and no chemicals or heat are applied. And these his the healthiest way you can have the avocado oil.

The cold pressed is when the avocado are heated but not above 50C(120F). And then pressed but all his flavor and nutritional value are not lost in the process.

Avocado vs Avocado Oil

The differences between the avocado and its oil its almost none!!!

To me they have different uses. The avocado fruit is just great when added to your diet, but I will advise you to don’t use both at the same time because the avocado oil is a concentration of the avocado fruit and might be more caloric and fatty because of his lower vitamins and minerals content, but is great when using as a substitute of other ingredients such as butter or other oils or as a dressing for your salads, marinating your food or even infusing herbs.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this post!

The avocado oil has helped me in so many ways, let me say that my health when I was a teen it wasn’t great! When a friend of mine introduced me the avocado and its oil made so many things better, I had acne problems and I used so many products but none done nothing, but after a month my face it was amazing and reduced half of that ugly spots in my face and redness.

I had also hair loss problems and I started put a tiny bit of avocado oil in my scalp and then massaging it, I used to do twice a week and after some months a saw the results on my brush!

So if you have any of the problems I posted up on the post that the avocado might help just give it a go, I’m sure you won’t regret it, I’m telling you I didnt and nowadays I do cook mostly with avocado oil which is for me the healthiest oil in the market!

If you have any question leave it below or if you liked this post share it on social media!

Thank you,

How Much Should I Eat Per Day?

An avocado involves many things like factors such as your age, gender, height, weight, current medical conditions, and family history will be really important as how much fat and calories your body needs per day. However i’d stick with eating one to two servings, which is in between 2 to 5 slices of avocado and about 2-3 times per week at most. This serving size will be enough of the health benefits without affecting your weight loss efforts.

Do you plant avocado seeds?

In the UK avocados are grown as houseplants until becoming too large.

In some places they can grow outside as trees.

But growing an avocado indoor from the seed is a better bet and fun for adults and children alike.

Here is some facts:

Common name: Avocado, avocado pear

Botanical name: Persea Americana

Group: Tender evergreen tree

Flowering time: Spring but rarely flowers or fruits as a houseplant

Height and spread: Ultimately 15-20m (49-66ft); smaller in containers

Aspect: Sun

Hardiness: Frost tender

How to cultivate

temperate climates grow under cover in containers at least 30cm (1ft) in diameter using soil based compost with added sharp sand. Apply balanced liquid feed every 2-3 weeks.

When roots appear through drainage holes, repot. Probably you need to this every year.

Repotting is best done in the spring. Is best grown in a bright, sunny position.

The avocado doesn’t like too much water or too dry.

Water freely in summer; but less frequently in winter.

Temperatures in Winter

Your avocado plant WILL LOVE you if you keep in temperatures in the region of 13-18°C (55-65°F).

When you see that is actually well-established use a general purpose pot plant feed every seven to ten days during the spring and summer and at about six to eight week intervals during the rest of the year.

For home gardeners

Growing from the seed is the simplest thing and with the right care might grow into a tree!

The seeds are large and germinate after four to eight weeks.

You can either start them off in water or sow straight into compost.

In water

  • Find a jar with a suitable wide neck;
  • Fill it with water then, using pieces of cork or soft wood, wedge the avocado seed so the bottom of it touches the water;
  • Keep at a temperature of 20-25°C (68-77°F);
